Below are a selection of staff here at JWE. We like to get to know our clients well, so here's a chance for you to get to know more about us!
Chris
Position: Event Director
Chris has been with Jarvis Woodhouse Events for eight years and has a vast experience in a wide range of events, such as conferences, product launches, road shows and incentive schemes. Many of Jarvis Woodhouse Events’ blue chip clients are managed by Chris who has successfully developed these accounts over the years, and has achieved a large amount of repeat business through building strong client relationships and providing effective event management.
Hobbies: Liverpool FC, coaching, watching and occasionally playing footie (when the dodgy knee allows!)
Dislikes: Anything fishy
Interesting fact: His wife proposed to him over the PA system at a leisure centre!
Rich
Position: Event Manager
Richard has been with Jarvis Woodhouse Events for over four years and specialises in corporate events. He is also responsible for web based activities and technical logistics proving invaluable both in the office and on the road. Richard’s all round expertise of the event world allows him to plan and execute an event with extreme precision.
Hobbies: Playing the Sax, gigging and all things musical.
Dislikes: Warm Cider & smelly feet
Interesting fact: Rich has played onstage at Glastonbury in an impromptu gig!
Wayne
Position: Managing Director
Founder of the company, Wayne has been the driving force for over fifteen years and oversees all aspects of the event management process from beginning to end. With a background in finance and marketing, he has been able to bring all of his expertise to the company, enabling true success. His drive and dedication has allowed Jarvis Woodhouse Events to form many strong links with major players, creating some large accounts for the team to work with on a regular basis.
Hobbies: Golf, Jaguars and Manchester City
Dislikes: Manchester Utd
Interesting fact: Wayne holds a pilots licence
Becky
Position: Event Coordinator
Becky is a new member of the team, having graduated from Cardiff University last year. Her role supporting and assisting the team when planning in-office or when on the road has proved invaluable due to the acquisition of some large accounts. Fluent in French, her linguistic abilities have proved essential on some recent corporate trips and annual company celebrations to Paris.
Hobbies: Netball, cleaning, camping, running, watching films & Cath Kidston
Dislikes: Celery & Celeriac
Interesting fact: Becky was 2 months premature and was 2lb 8oz!
Hazel
Position: Director
Hazel has been with the company for 14 years and is responsible for the finance department within the company. All of our large events have required dedicated and experienced administration and office support, which Hazel has provided on numerous occasions.
Hobbies: Manchester Utd, Power walking and paper shredding.
Dislikes: People who don't recycle, Mushrooms & Cheap wine.
Interesting fact: Hazel fractured her collar bone falling from a table whilst in training for a parachute jump. She never jumped!
Sylvia
Position: Accounts
Sylvia has been working in the finance department for the past year. An expert on Quickbooks and all things financial. When you get your bill, you now know who to blame!
Hobbies: Milking Cows
Dislikes: Doctors Surgeries & the NHS!
Interesting fact: Sylvia was on the Weakest Link and gave Anne Robinson a run for her money!
Nick
Position: Creative Head
With 14 years graphic design industry experience and a design agency background Nick heads up all the creative elements that go hand in hand with a successful event. This includes all pre-event collateral such as: posters, teaser campaigns, invites, etc and all event day material such as: folders, agendas, presentations, stage set design and more. All this has a bespoke theme/concept to give the event its ownership and identity.
Hobbies: England Rugby, Mountain Biking and Travelling the World
Dislikes: Doing anything more than once
Interesting fact: Nick swam with wild baby Reef Sharks in the Maldives. By accident!
Claire
Position: Theming Manager
Claire has been theming our events here at Jarvis Woodhouse over the last 12 years. Her experience, attention to detail and creativeness allows her to produce some amazing memorable events for our clients. She is an Award Winning Florist and this means we can provide a total event theming package from table centrepieces to all round room decoration.
Hobbies: Shopping!!
Dislikes: Telephone answering services with too many options
Interesting fact: Claire has designed bouquets for the Queen.
Linda
Position: Project Manager - PR
Linda is a consultant, specialising in supplying pr and hospitality support to sponsors involved with events, teams or individuals. With 25 years experience in personality management, event organisation, pr and hospitality, Linda is able to ensure that clients benefit greatly from their sponsorship involvement and maximise their return on expenditure.
Hobbies: Food, wine and travel
Dislikes: Being put through to India
Interesting fact: Linda could swim before she could walk.
