Team Building Day

Brief

This client wanted to take a new team of managers off site for a day. They required a meeting in the morning and then a full afternoon of activities, all on the same site. The location of the venue had to be situated between the two offices, Wilmslow and Norwich, to allow all guests equal journey time.

Our response

Jarvis Woodhouse Events sourced the perfect venue for the event, Breadsall Priory Hotel and Country Club located in the Derbyshire countryside. The hotel was ideally located between the two offices, of a high standard appropriate for managers and most importantly could accommodate the meeting and all the activities on site.

Following the morning meeting, guests enjoyed a buffet lunch in the hotel restaurant before being briefed by qualified instructors on the following activities.

The chosen activities were:

• Powerturn Dragsters – 2 seated twin-engine dragsters. Capable of wheelies through the slalom course, the lever-controlled vehicles really tested delegate skills!
• Micro Quads – Mini four wheeled bikes, the only motor sport where the teams are actually able to race each other head to head.
• Hovercrafts – Experience the feeling of flight with the twin cylinder crafts.
• Crossbows – A European flavour to the day with one to one tuition on the Crossbow

Due to the mix, everyone was able to try their hand at the activities.

At the end of the afternoon, the scores were collated, and the guests adjourned to the bar for refreshments where the winning team were presented with a client branded trophy.
