Incentive to Nice

The Brief

To source an overseas location for an end of year incentive for the client’s Annual Award Winners Trip. The location was to be accessed easily from Bristol Airport and the flight to be no longer than 2½ hours.

Our Response

We recommended Nice on the Cote d’Azur for this incentive as the flight times fitted in perfectly. Various hotels were suggested, however the client chose the AC Marriott which was in an excellent location, both for the airport transfer and being on the edge of the old town of Nice.

Itinerary

On arrival at Nice, the guests were met by hostesses and transferred by coach to the hotel where guests were able to relax and unwind prior to dinner. A drinks reception and dinner were served by the pool on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Promenade des Anglais.

Day 2

Following breakfast, a guide took the guests around the narrow streets of the old town to experience the hustle and bustle of the markets and shops and later they were taken to the harbour for a sailing afternoon. During the afternoon, they had great fun being divided into groups competing against each other.

Lunch and drinks were served onboard and with the racing completed, the winning team was declared. Prior to dinner, the guests were taken to experience a wine tasting at one of the vaulted caves, followed by dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 3

Everyone was up early and taken to Eze where they split into two groups – one enjoying a Ferrari experience racing around the windy mountainous roads with fantastic views and the other group were taken to Eze village, climbing up through tiny cobbled streets with quaint shops before being rewarded with a fabulous view of the Cote d’Azur. The groups were then rotated.

After the exhilarating Ferrari ride, they were taken for refreshments at Café de Paris in Monaco whilst watching the Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Aston Martins driving around the square, followed by a tour of the Principality and seeing first hand parts of the F1 Grand Prix circuit.

Lunch was served at a fabulous restaurant overlooking the many yachts in the harbour. The guests boarded the coach to go back to Nice, however they were extremely surprised and delighted to be taken to Monaco Airport where they were taken by helicopter to Nice whilst looking down at the fabulous coast of the Cote de Azur – certainly a WOW surprise for them!!

After coming back down to earth literally, guests were taken to a unique restaurant in the old town of Nice where they had a fabulous meal which was followed by sampling the nightlife of Nice!

Day 4

Guests were given the morning to go shopping, sightseeing or purely to relax by the pool or on the beach before having lunch on the rooftop terrace prior to being taken to the airport for their flight home
